Travel-Friendly Exercise Equipment
Theraband Resistance Bands
All resistance bands wear out with time but Theraband quality is better than most.
Stretch Out Strap
This is the only item you will need to stretch any muscle. It is extremely durable and is washing machine-friendly. It comes with a booklet and app to ensure you are stretching correctly.
Mobility Balls
Rolling out muscles and fascia can help reduce pain and improve range of motion. Check out these options.
Proprioceptive Tape
Kinesio Tape, Rock Tape and KT Tape are all stretchable tapes. If you have used this in the past, you may want to bring a roll with you. This type of tape is also great for blister prevention!
Assistive Devices
Fold-up Seat Cane
A 3-legged cane that has a fold-down seat allowing you to sit anytime, anywhere.
Trekking Poles
Trekking poles can give you extra stability when traveling. Check out different options and styles below with this link to REI
Upright Foldable Cane
Allows easier stowage if you do not need the cane at all times. It also has a small 3-prong base so it will stand indpendently.
Swivel Seat Cushion
Provides you with an extra 2.5 inches of height for chairs or the car. It also swivels, allowing you to get in/out of vehicles and from dinning chairs more easily.
Rollator
A 4-wheeled walker that provides you extra stability and a fold-out seat. It should glide and change direction effortlessly.
Favorite Travel Shoes
Brooks
Brooks shoes are my personal go-to shoe for exercise and long travel days. They have a wider toe box than most and multiple styles have narrow and wide options.
Hoka
Hoka shoes are known for cushioned support. They do have quite a wide base which is a consideration if you tend to walk with your feet close together.
Reusable Ice/Hot Packs
Trek Proof
These reusable ice and heat packs come in two sizes and are sold in a 3-pack.
IceWraps
These come in a 6-pack and are 3x5inches. This makes them very easy to transport but you may need to use a couple at a time based on where you are icing/heating.
